Our Wine

Paola and me started to make wine at the beginning of our arrival here in 1989. Busy with the renovation of this big house and than with the retrieve of fields and vineyards and, in the meanwhile became parents of three kids, we started up with our four rooms. After sixsteen years we decided to bottle our wine. It was 2006. And now we have the best label all over the world! By Guido Scarabottolo. Read the link The History of the Label, it’'s very funny!

Dado and me grow two hectares of vineyards of property now. Vineyards are close our house. Our grapes are from organic agricolture certificate by IMC since 1989. We produce three typical kinds of wine of this area of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Colli Orientali. The wines are named Refosco, Verduzzo and Bianco. We bottle our wine here at home as IGP Venezia Giulia – Identificazione Geografica Protetta.

A few words about our wine...

Refosco dal peduncolo rossoRefosc dal pecòl ros
Amazing and characteristic violaceous color. It smells of sour-black-wild cherry.
Of slow maturation, it is better taste it one or two years older.

VerduzzoVerduç
A little bit sweet white wine native of Friuli. The golden yellow color immediately abducts your eyes. Excellent alone, with strong cheeses, with some fish dishes, with the “ musetto “ and sweet and sour red “ radicchio “.

Bianco Friulano (once Tocai friulano)
It’s the White wine of Friuli. After the bitterness over the loss of its historic name and my bitterness even deeper for the name chosen as a substitute (Friulano) - I have not found out who had this brainwave - , I decided for the name Bianco. "Un tài di blanc" or "un bianco" is the name in Friulan and Italian that from immemorial time, you can hear into osterie of Udine to ask for a glass of Tocai. So, better Bianco. Excellent with ham of San Daniele.
